The Delhi Project was introduced in the early 1990s but the work started in 1998. The metro work started from Shahdara to Tis Hazari for the Red Line. The Length will be 28.9km and there will be new 25 stations (7 underground, 18 elevated). The route extends from central Delhi R.K to west Delhi Janakpuri West. This metro line will be the added connectivity to the developing population in West Delhi.
Aerocity to Tughlakabad (Silver Line)
The silver line will be the new line that will added to the list of the DMRC. This metro line is 20.2km long and has 15 stations (4 underground and 11 elevated). This line will connect the Aerocity to the IGI Airport to Tughlakabad in South Delhi.
Maujpur to Majlis park
It is the extension of the Pink line that is 12.5 km long and has 8 stations. All the stations are elevated. This addition will complete the semi-ring structure of the Pink line which attaches the north-eastern part of Delhi to western neighbourhoods.
DRMC is also planning to extend the yellow line from the Huda city centre to Cyber City in Gurugram.
There are some proposals that Blue Line could further extend to Greater Noida.
